pavements and pathways

Walking down pavements and pathways
To the place where you left me
A bus stop of empty emotions
I sit on your last resting place
For though you may not be dead
You are forever lost to me
This is where we spent our last moments
A turbulent time
Drenched in rain and tears
It took years
Years for you to walk into my life
And yet in minutes you were gone
The roar of an engine
Being you final dirge to me
There was no love in your farewell
But my goodbyes where drowned in it
And our final kiss
To me was half hearted bliss
So now in my apartment
I can hear you presnce lost
and the space you left on our bed
is filled only by the shadow of regret

Graveyard of the hopefull

These stained walls
And white lab coats
Their PHD's
And professional advice
How are these meant to comfort me
Screams and shouts
Tears and scares
Are are all that is gained
When you enter these hallowed halls
You sit in plastic chairs
As the ones you love
Go under knife and needle
In a desperate attempt
To extend their lives
For just that little bit longer
Why is such a mornfull place
So full of looks of hope
Deluded and niave
They pace back and forth
As every nurse who passes
Is hailed with questions
And those who ask
Are never given answers
The best we can do
In this graveyard of the hopefull
Is to say our final "I love you"
And expect the worst
For
If you mean your final last words
Then you already know
That love
Is watching someone die
