I sit in a cafe starring out the window
The rain beats down on the sad souls of the people outside
It forces them to pull there hoods down low
And the wind to pull there coats tight about them
Its Funny how
The best of days are turned bad
By a simple covering of clouds
I walk down the street
Soaked to my bones with rain
And my heart sadden by the freeze of cold
An ambulance races by me
And a call on my phone tells me the trains have stopped
A suicide on the tracks
Its funny how
The happiness turns to depression
By a simple covering of clouds
I Sit in traffic leaning on the window
My mood dimmed by the lyrics of my music
And my mind confused by the thought of the day
I drvie past a set of Mangled cars
And a women on her knees, blood soaked clothes, screaming to the sky
Its funny how
A simple evening drive
Turns to life changing catastrophe
By a simple covering of clouds
I lay in my bed
The starts shinning through my window
Water through the pipes the only source of noise
I think about all that conspired on my rainy day
And notice that
Its funny how
The Best days
Are turned to hell
By a simple covering of clouds
