Heaven & Fire.

I feel the water been sucked from beneath me.
I turn.
I see the wave start to form.
I paddle.
I feel the wave start to pull me in.
I brace.
I hear the roar of the wave.
I ride.
I feel the wave underneath me.
I smile.
I am in my heaven.
I am in the surf.

The music flows around us.
Together we sway.
Our lips meet and time stops.
I hold you close and we kiss like the first time.
We draw apart and I see the love in your eyes.
I smile to myself and stare at you in wonder.
You interweave your fingers with mine.
We smile like idiots at each other....
Suddenly the world is filled with heat and noise.
I hear the crackle of flames and feel their heat.
I look for you.
You have not moved.
I cradle you in my arms.
Don't leave me.
