Hurt

I do hurt
But i don't cry
You'll not see me shed a tear
Not even those closest
See me weep
But i do hurt
I know I'm not alone
This feeling fills everyone
For some its a seasonal curse
I wish it goodbye
But secretly it locks to my heart
I was sitting alone
When an angel came to sit next to me
And whispered "Do you need me"
I stared at her silently, Tears filling my eyes
A key was round her neck
There to free me from my chains of hurt
But i turn away
And mumble my goodbye
She ascends to the heavens above
As i find myself alone
I weep
I couldn't believe the chance i gave up
But i couldn't find the words
And so it was lost to me
I just stood in silence
As winter arrived
And swept a cold chill through me
Reminding me of the day i found the remedy
And how my moods change with the seasons
And it seems to me that a cure is out of reach
But ill sit on my perch
Hurting silently
Until that angel once again
Comes to rescue me
