Did You Stop To Think Of Me

As you crept down the hall
Shouting your words of hate
Did you even stop to think of me
Its just something that id like to know
If you looked back or did you just walk away
As my happiness is torn from me
Do you even stop in the doorway
To think of me
How this affects me
Damn if being high is what it takes
to make you alive
Then i want nothing more
Than to fall asleep in a state
Of mind that i will never awake from
Cause as my ladder to heaven burns beneath me
Do you even stop to think of me
As you fuel the flames to catch me on my rise
This pain tears at my heart
with rendering claws of desire
To rid me of my conscience
My state of being
