I wished you goodbye
But i hoped you would stay
I scorned your name to the sun
But wished you where there as i stared at the moon
For as the stars fell around me
I wanted nothing more than to take you hand in mine
As i turned away
Filled with sadness at the sight of you
I wished you would take me into your embrace
So i left town and started anew
But i was flooded with thoughts of you
I couldn't throw away the photos in my hand
Or escape the pain that floods my house
So as it rised above my head
And i began to drown in my feelings
I begged for a way to escape
My lungs filled and through my windows
I saw you all
Dearest of friends, desperately trying to save me
Offering help, attempting to guide me through this
But my breath had left me
And i couldn't find the words needed
To help them help me
So i waved my good bye
as i drifted into the void
Accepting my fate as it was written
But secretly i wished for another chance
To do it again
To do it differently
